A.V registration is required when the legal masses as prescribed in regulation 239 are exceeded. In order to realize the full potential of your combination an A.V document needs to be granted and issued for your combination to operate under exemption.
A Sequences for each such element in combination, needs to be drafted and submitted before one can apply for an A.V.
An A.V number will be issued and added to a national database and used to check operators operating under exemptions when approaching domestic weigh bridges.
A.v’s and sequences are valid for a period of 5 years. It may also lose its validity if any structural changes are made.
